Happy Birthday, Gwen! We all love you and we had a great time playing at your birthday party.

For those of you wondering about the video shoot we were supposed to do this summer, it has been rescheduled for next week. We're excited and We can't wait to see what "The Burning Bush" looks like on video.

We're going to be rocking good old Jimmy Z's on Friday Oct. 19th with our friends Sayn, Let It Come Down, and Hunab Ku. Come see how we do it Everett style!

Thanks to everyone who called into KISW last week! Even though we didn't make it to the next round, it meant a lot to us to have the listeners give us 10 accross the board. Some new fans came our way thanks to the show and got to meet BJ and his crew. We really couldn't ask for anything more.

We have pre-sale tickets to The Denmother's Birthday on October 6th at Studio Seven. Esitu, Endless Grey, and Future Fossils are going to be rocking out with us that night as well. Tickets are $10.00 a head. Get in touch with us to pick up yours.

Update on BJ Shae's American Idiot contest on 99.9 KISW-

DC, Jeremy, and Pat are going to be in the KISW studio on Friday, August 24th during the 8:00 AM hour of the show. BJ and company are going to play some of our music, interview us, and give us a score that will determine if we make it to the next round. Listeners will be asked to call in and give feedback of our music, so listen and get ready to dial because we are going to need your help on this one.

    Thanks everbody!

Thanks to everyone who came out to the Showbox last Friday to make this year the best BreastFest ever! The event was above and beyond what we had hoped - and we had high expectations for this show. Where else could you have seen five awesome bands, a wet t-shirt contest, and a weedwacker given away? We dare you to name one other place where all of that has happened in Seattle in the last seventeen years. Special thanks go out to Low Thin Square, Esitu, Before I Die, and Utterance for taking only enough money to cover their expenses and giving their profits for the show to charity fund. Not only do these bands play good music, they're also class acts. Extra special thanks to Low Thin Square for the looks on everyone's faces when the weedwacker was announced.

Basic Survival Mode is a semi-finalist for KISW / The BJ Shea Morning Experience's American Idiot!!! Some of us will be in the KISW studio on August 24th during the 8:00 AM hour. More details to come. We are excited as hell to be in the contest!

We will be playing a show at Chop Suey in Seattle on August 25th. No, it's not a Chinese eating establishment, but a club in downtown Seattle. Come and rock out with us on a Saturday night.

On August 3rd of the year 2007, the Showbox in Seattle will be hosting Breastfest 3! The lineup of Basic Survival Mode, Low Thin Square, Esitu, Before I Die, and Utterance is worth the $10 alone. When you add a wet T-shirt contest to the evening and the money being raised is to fund breast cancer research, then you don't have any excuses for not coming, do you?

Those of you who have been to a Breastfest know how rowdy things can get! Come enjoy some kick-ass music, support a good cause, and have a great time.

The South Sound Garage in Tacoma is no more! The show has been cancelled!

This band has never cancelled a show, but if the place isn't there anymore, there isn't much we can do about it. Apologies to everyone planning to attend.

New summer shows have been added!

We will be playing in Tacoma on July 15th after a day of shooting a video for The Burning Bush. If you're in Tacoma, come check us out at the South Sound Garage that night.

The Fire Festival is an outdoor event in Pioneer Square. We don't get to have outdoor shows that often in Seattle, so get your ass down to the Square on July 7th and join the party.

Last, but certainly not least, our favorite (and your favorite if you're a hetersexual male) - Breastfest III! If you've been to a Breastfest before, you know what to expect. If not, you'll have to wait until the time is right for us to post details.

    WOW!!!

Thank you ALL who came out to the HUGE success that was KISW's Masquerade Mayhem 2007 at the Showbox on March 3rd. The turnout was incredible, the show was insane, and you 1,000+ people who made it out are truly appreciated!!!

For those of you who missed it, you missed the Fast Food Extravaganza that was Basic Survival Mode. If you don't know what I'm talking about, just keep checking back because pictures will be available SOON... and we guarantee you DON'T want to miss these!

Be on the lookout, Basic Survival Mode is planning many, many more shows currently. Simultaneously we are writing hoardes of new music for you. The creativity is at an all time high and we are as excited as ever to bring these new songs to you. Check back soon and check back often as we will be updating with exact show dates in the next couple of days.

Thanks to all who braved the treacherous, icy conditions and made it out to a fun-filled evening at Studio Seven last Saturday. Damn good seeing some familiar faces and even having a few too many shots of Maker's Mark!

We do have a tentative date set for the 2nd Annual Masquerade Mayhem at the Showbox in downtown Seattle!!! If you didn't make it out last year (and you've got to be in the minority), Masquerade Mayhem is a huge show that offers you the excuse to put on any kind of costume of your choice, get loads of free band stuff for doing so, and see Seattle's BEST local music. For those of you who did make it out last year, you know exactly what the fuck I'm talking about. Expect this year to be twice as grand as last.

As far as everything else, Basic Survival Mode is working diligently on writing loads of new music. The floodgates have opened and we're riding the waves. Expect newer, grander, and just downright more kick-ass shit from us in the coming months!!

We love you all and thank you all for all the continued support!

    PEACE!!!
